The MarshYouth Theater (MYT) winter and spring workshops 2005 are January 18 - March1, February 5 and 12, and many more to choose from, visit here for more information. MYT is a unique interdisciplinary theater program for students in grades 1-4. Fees: $240 per week. Financial Aid is available! Explore with us visual and performing arts from all over the world . Each session we will create a original show which tells a story through the rich artistry of four theater arts centers: drama, music, dance and art.
MYT is Drama. Develop acting skills including speech, expression, improvisation and physical comedy. MYT is Music. Strenghthen your singing voice, play instruments, learn drumming and percussion from many world traditions. MYT is Dance and Movement. Explore a wide range of multicultural dance technique and choreography. MYT is Stagecraft. Design, build and paint sets to create an environment for our story. Decorate costumes. Learn about lights, rigging and technical theater. MYT is Ensemble Performance.Under the direction of our international teaching staff of expert professional artists, we integrate theater arts to create a powerful show. Together we develop a strong ensemble which fosters new performance skills, self-confidence and friendships. The joy of performance is experienced with our friends, family and community.
