Hamlin Camp Mission: Hamlin Summer Camp offers excellence in recreational learning and experiences for boys and girls in San Francisco. Hamlin Summer Camps aide campers in gaining a sense of responsibility in group activities, expose campers to recreational resources in the San Francisco Bay Area, teach the awareness of and accessibility to the use of public transportation, and creates an outdoor camp environment in an urban setting.

HAMLIN SUMMER CAMP brings the wilderness, sleep-away camp community into the heart of San Francisco. Campers participate in exciting camp activities and explore The City on adventurous field trips. Hamlin Summer Camp creates an environment where children can strengthen their social skills and build relationships with children of all ages and counselors as well. Hamlin Summer Camp is for girls and boys entering 1st - 7th grades.

CAMPGROUP ADVENTURES (CGAs)Campers are placed into grade-grouped campgroups that are led by three Group Leaders. Each campgroup has a maximum of sixteen campers except with entering first graders which we limit to twelve. With guidance from their leaders, campers select their afternoon field trips, or Camp Group Adventures (CGAs). One camp group may favor swimming at Rossi Pool, another may explore the Presidio, while a third may prefer to create skits and play tag at Corona Heights. We use the MUNI system as our primary form of travel to teach campers the benefits of public transportation.

Campers are placed in Campgroups based on their grade:

Pumas: Girls and boys entering 1st grade
Cougars: Girls and boys entering 2ndgrade
Jaguars: Girls and boys entering 3rd grade
Tigers: Girls and boys entering 4th grade
Panthers: Girls and boys entering 5th grade
Lions: Girls and boys entering 6th - 7th grades
