| Kirkwood's state of the art Childrens ski and board school is accessed directly from the Timber Creek parking lot adjacent to Chair #9 and includes a front door drop off area, making the ski day convenient for families.
Snowboard Facilities:Freestyle terrain park and half pipe, a man made terrain park adds excitement for snowboarders. Kirkwoods offers instruction and equipment with over 350 snowboards and 500 pairs of boots. Eventsare happening all season. Something for everyone, snowboard, telemark, downhill, play, Kirkwood offers an excellent outing for families.A partial listing is below:
Mighty Mountain Children's Ski & Board School Program Director call 209-258-7389 Dates, Time & Costs, all Winter Season: Group lessons: 8:30-9:30 am Morning Registration 10:00-4:00 All Day program - $80.00 (includes rentals, lift ticket, instruction, supervision, and lunch) 10:00-12:30 Morning/Day $65.00 12:00-1:00 Afternoon Registration Private Lessons: 1 hour $70.00 2 hour $125.00 4 hour $220.00 AM/PM special 9:00 am or 3:00 pm - $60.00. Program Highlights:Mighty Mountain Ski school for children ages 4-12: First time through advanced. Group lessons, half day or full. Private lessons by the hour. Snowboard School for children ages 7 to 12. Groups lessons are for children who can cooperate and be productive in an environment with other children. Children receive individual feedback, but group lessons are geared toward the general needs to the entire group. We do our best to place children in groups by age and ability. Private lessons are for children too young for Mighty Mountain, children with special needs or to focus on a an individual child's specific skills development. Private lessons may be expanded to include friends or family members of the same ability level. Private lessons may be scheduled by appointment on an hourly basis beginning at 9:00 am. Safety and fun are our primary goals. new skills are introduced in a logical progression and are focused to develop and improve you child's skills. The instruction may be in the form of games, races and imitation. many balancing skills are taught, and you may see skiers without poles. Kirkwood Explorers
