Donner Ski Ranch is one of the original ski areas in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and still represents one of the best values in California skiing. First utilized for skiing in 1937, Donner Ski Ranch is a modest size, unpretentious, family operated ski area that thrives on a relaxed pace and rustic atmosphere. The philosophy is to keep things simple, embrace the skiing and snowboarding experience, and maintain prices that everyone is able to afford. Donner Ski Ranch caters well to individuals, families, and groups seeking a down to earth approach and is one of the few resorts in the Sierra Nevada’s that offers the amenities of the other ski resorts at prices well below the national average.
