Marin Horizon Summer Camp offers swimming, gymnastics and capoeira lessons, off-campus park walks, sports, arts and crafts, music and more for children ages three to eight. We feature a high teacher-to-student ratio for even the youngest campers! Teachers in the 3 to 5 yr old program are ECE specialists and all of our staff is year-round MHS staff! We are the safest, most fun program around for young children. Swimming lessons every day for 4 and 5 yr old and Gymnastics classes every day for 3 yr olds. Six through 8 year olds take field trips every Friday to destinations such as Zeum, McNear's Beach, and the SF Zoo. They also have swimming lessons twice a week! We offer flexible scheduling, drop-in days, and daycare for busy parents.

The San Francisco’s only synchronized swim club is open to children aged 6 through 14. Those new to synchronized swimming can join the pre-competitive program,which swims twice a week at city pools. After graduating from the pre-competitive program, swimmers join one of the competitive teams based on their age and skill level. All practices are held at city pools. You can observe a practice and/or sign up the first Tuesday of every month at Balboa Pool (Havelock at San Jose Ave.) from 7:30 to 8:30. The Presidio Community YMCA offers group swim lessons for children 6 months to13 years. In addition to water orientation/stroke development, the YMCA swim lesson program teaches personal safety, personal growth, water games and sports, and rescues. Camp Jones Gulch has resident camp programs of campers entering 3-9 grades from June 29 – August 23. Our sport activities are swimming, canoeing, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, frisbee, hikes, climbing tower, archery, horseback riding, ping-pong and more. Questors (7-9 grades) also get mountain biking, surfing, rock climbing, dance and sports specialties. Visit our website at www.campjonesgulch.org for more information.

Highland Recreation Center and Pool Offers swim lessons, a swim team (go dolphins!), lap swimming and recreational swimming as well as other fun summer programs. Fees vary for members and non-members. For more information call Highlands Recreation Center at 650.341.4251.

Golden Gateway Tennis and Swim Club has two outdoor pools. The lap pool is a 6 lane, 25 yard competition size pool kept at 79-81 degrees This pool is used solely for adult lap swimming, Masters workouts, and adult swim lessons. The second pool is a 20 yard recreational pool used by children under the age of 15, water aerobics classes, and recreational swimmers. One lane is kept for lap swimming. Water temperature is 84-86 degrees. Aquatic Programs for children include group swim lessons, and private swim lessons offered to both members and nonmembers on a year-round basis, available to both kids and adults. Swim instructors are experienced in teaching all levels of ability. Skill-based instruction, games and toys for kids and learning tools for adults are used as part of our program. Community Association for Rehabilitation's Wright Swim School is here! Located at 3864 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto - a warm water, 92 degree indoor pool open year round.  We have Learn to Swim lessons for children 3 months to 12 years of age, Family Swim, and pool party rentals.  We also have Adapted Aquatics for children with disabilities.  Finally we serve the entire community regardless of age and ability level in our warm water pool.

RinconadaHave you been there? What a great pool, excellent for all kids, a water playground, diving boards, lanes, and a deeper swimming area. A great place for families, a picnic and tons of fun.

Marinwood north of Marin (North 101) take Lucas Valley Rd. - follow to Miller Rd. turn right. Near the fire station. This pool has a great playground outside of the pool area, perfect for a picnic, bikes too! Two pools a young toddler pool and a bigger pool for kids that are swimmers. A diving board and grassy area to eat lunch and snacks.

Koret Pool at the University of San Francisco is an indoor pool with swim lessons and a swim team, lap swim, and programs for kids and adults.

Bribane Pool. A new swim facility, outdoors, heated. 101 South from San Francisco, Brisbane exit...Visit their website or give them a call.

The Silliman Family Aquatic Center in Newark. The largest indoor waterpark in the bay area. Includes children's play pool, 2, 20 foot water slides, lap pool, and spa. Open for general recreational swimming year round on Friday 3-9pm, Sat. 1-7pm, Sun. Noon-5pm. Additional programs include: Birthday party packages, group rentals, swim lessons, water aerobics, lap swim, and seasonal camps and special events. McNear's Beach - San Rafael - Outdoor pool alongside the Bay with tennis courts, vast picnic areas and a snack bar.
