Adventurez Tahoe™ is the unique wilderness residence and day camp for kids craving fun, adventure and excitement! At Adventurez Tahoe™ we assure your child a "nontraditional" summer camp experience. Referred to as "TAZ" by the kids, this coed, nondenominational, camp getaway provides life changing wilderness experiences for girls and boys ages 10 to 17. TAZ is located on the North shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, California, just 50 miles West of Reno, Nevada and 100 miles East of Sacramento. At an elevation of 6,475 feet, our camp is surrounded by national forests and some of the most picturesque natural wonders in the world. We provide one of the best home-away-from-home residence accommodations of any camp, the Wilderness Lodge.
Beginning June 18th, we offer 11 consecutive week-long sessions, consisting of four programs. There are 2 High Sierra Adventure programs: Beginner (10-12), Intermediate (11-14) and 2 Hard Core Adventure programs: Intermediate (11-14), Advanced (14-17). Programs are specific to a child's age & ability.
Kids enjoy basic wilderness programs for novice campers to more challenging programs for even the most seasoned athlete. We recommend that children go through two consecutive one-week programs, each at different skill levels. A child is always welcome to do a single week's adventure to get a feel for what we offer, with the option to return later this summer, if space is available.
Each day is filled with a different out of camp adventure, such as hiking, river rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, team building activities and much more. That’s right! Kids get to do it all and no two days are the same.
There's a maximum of forty campers per session and a 5 to 1 ratio of Adventurers to Wilderness Leaders, ensuring all children get the attention they deserve. We offer an intimate, safe, nurturing environment focused on individual experiences, rather than competition. We want children to learn self-reliance, build confidence and self- esteem that will last forever.
